Matt Reeves Assured Batman Will Remain the Emotional Center in the Sequel

Despite witnessing numerous depictions of Batman on the silver screen, the latest installment did bring something fresh to the table, deservingly becoming the biggest DC success in recent years. And with the sequel being greenlighted under the DC Elseworlds banner, Matt Reeves is set to make Robert Pattinson‘s Batman the emotional center of the sequel and avoid TDK‘s route.

“My goal has always been to do these point-of-view stories that allow the character to always be the emotional center of the story,” said Reeves. “Because a lot of times what happens is, after you do the first one, then suddenly other rogues’ gallery characters come in, and they kind of take over.”

While Bruce will be taking the spotlight in the sequel, fans of the rogues gallery have nothing to worry about, as rumors have emerged claiming the sequel might involve Clayface and Hush.
